Gone are the days of chillin' with my boo.
Thinking of work makes me want to hurl.
I wish I could stay at home with my two girls.
You like, no?
So I work all day, come home for an hour, and go to rehearsals. Between the three church groups and another orchestra rehearsal I am running a little ragged. However there was one bright spot in my school day....
It all began in the low brass... (que the Wane's World do-do-do-do do-do-do-do)
I'm working with my five tubas in there and one kiddo has a BIG bandage on his thumb. It was completely wrapped with gauze and everything. Now I was in the middle of my lesson when I noticed, so I stopped mid sentence to say 'What happened? Can you play ok today?'- because, as you know, I am a kind and caring person.
The student replies 'I had an accident'
'What happened'
'I was cooking and cut it'
'What were you cutting'
(long pause)
... 'the cheese'.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Man- nothing gets a group of middle school kids (and myself) laughing harder that a fart reference! Who knows what joy will bring tomorrow!
