Our little baby is becoming a little girl!  Both mama and Em have the same style...

One Day...

One day we will post regularly.
One day we will look back and say 'WOW... we must have been really busy parenting  during those months'
One day Lesley will begin to post on here too.

One day Emily will go from our little to girl to our little lady to our little teenager to our little woman to our little college student to our little 'Now presenting Mr. and Mrs *not Wood*'.

But for now Dada had fun with our little girl Em!  She has these AWESOME and incredibly ANNOYING squeaky shoes- but they are still new to us, so they are fun!

She also LOVES scaring me when I come home.  Instead of greeting me with a run, hug, and 'DADA!' all I get is a quick peek, a 'boo' and she is off playing again.  (thanks mama).

I think Les is just getting back at me since I taught Emily to answer 'What does Mama say?' with 'STOP' as she holds her hand up.  AWESOME!

TOO MUCH!

There has been too much fun to keep up with the blog!  In a nut shell here is some of the things we have been doing....
1) Weekly visits to the park (most of the pics are on my facebook) so far we have visited 4!
2) Had an AWESOME fathers day! (in case you are curious- that is Carlton from fresh prince of Bel Aire on my t-shirt- Lesley HATES it!)

3) we went to the horse races- even Emily place a couple bets (under the table of course!)

4) and Emily turned 10 months!!!

There has been A LOT of pool time, play time, naps, and travel in between.  These days life is GOOD!

Swimmer

Having a great summer!  Emily has been swimming multiple times and we are gearing up for another park visit tonight!  

All fun aside, I am beginning to worry about our little girl.  Emily likes to show a little skin.  I think her bikini is her favorite swimsuit and last night I put her in long sleeve pajamas and she would not have it.  If that weren't enough I told her that I was going to put this picture on Facebook and she quickly slid one cheek out the float so she could 'pose for the boys.'

Friday!

So my day started with getting up EARLY to drop our friends Jess and John off at the airport.  Since I have been getting up early this week I still woke up at 6:30.  Besides having to get up early, today was a good day!  Emily had fun with her momma while I worked, then got to go play with her friend Ally as we went to dinner with two couples from our Sunday school class.

Next week should be even better as I will get to spend more time at home and we can start to fall into our summer schedule!
